The University of Life
SALISBURY AND OXFORD
The cathedral in Salisbury and the university in Oxford
were both established, with buildings in similar styles,
in the thirteenth century as centres for learning.
And at the same time as Oxford Colleges were being established
in Oxford (e.g. Merton College in 1264)
DeVaux College was set up (in 1262)
as an adjunct of the University in Salisbury.
